Coffee Region and Antioquia
The coffee zone is the place with greater production of coffee, famous in all the world for your taste and quality. The departments that integrate the coffee zone are of land with a temperature comfortable, people friendly, beautiful scenery of green mountains, thermal waters and snowy peaks. This region is characterized for coffee plantations interminable, adorned with huge waterfalls, multicolored trees and villages are comprised of flowers and many colors in their facades.
Antioquia Department is located in the northwest region in Colombia. Also it is between Central and West Colombian mountain range, Antioquia is based on a topography in mostly mountainous. Its capital Medellin, a nice city department where we can find the sea, The caribbean sea in the Urabá Antioqueño.
Typical food of the coffee zone
The typical food of the coffee zone mainly is "tray paisa" comprised of beans served with meat, rice, patacones, avocado, egg, chorizo, pork rind and plantain. The trout with fried plantain in Salento are unforgivable.
The typical drinks are the porridge of corn sweetened with panela or snack, and water of panela with cheese.

Traditional costumes
